Principal's Message 9/15/17

Dear PVMS East Parents,

Pricipal of School Dr. CluneWe have completed a very successful first full week of school (Monday through Friday). I am sure that your child has shared all that is happening in his or her courses now that we have completed a full rotation of our A-F day cycle.  This year is off to a great start. There are many activities already planned, so please check our website for updates.

Library Our library will be open for students this Monday (9/18). While some furniture is still on order, much is already in place and we are looking forward to your child enjoying our new makeover.

Home & School Envelope Campaign Our Home & School Association sent envelopes home on the first day of school for their annual fundraising campaign. Please consider supporting our Home & School Association.

Anti-Bullying Program: We met in small groups today for our Olweus Anti-bullying program. We have the six pillars of character displayed in our auditorium hallway and cafeteria. They are Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring & Citizenship. We are discussing the development of good character with all of our students.   

7th & 8th Gr. Meet the Teacher Night (MTTN): Meet the Teacher Night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2017 for 7th & 8th Gr. parents. We welcome 7th & 8th Gr. PVMS East parents and guardians to our annual "Meet the Teacher Night." Please mark your calendars. The event formally begins at 7:00 p.m.with a brief introduction from me in your child’s 2nd Period class. Your child will bring home a copy of their ‘C’ Day schedule beforehand. Parents of IEP or GIEP students are welcome to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to meet their child's IEP or GIEP teacher. The evening will conclude at 9:00 p.m.

Book Fair: WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!  The MSE Library will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair September 18th-25th. The fair will be open during the school day and on the evening of Meet the Teacher Night. All proceeds benefit the MSE Library.
