Dear PVMS East Parents,

With the adjusted date for the First Day of School to Tuesday, September 8th, we have also updated the following events. Please make note of these changes on your calendar. We will send out an email next week regarding virtual opening day details.

Grab & Go

Grab & Go dates and times have changed to Wednesday, September 2nd from 3-7PM and Wednesday, September 3rd from 5-7PM. These are ‘Grab & Go’ events for parents to pick up materials for the upcoming school year. These materials include consumables, supplies and novels and/or textbooks. The 6th Grade pick up area will be at the auditorium entrance, 7th Grade pick up will be at the bus loading platform and 8th Grade pick up area will be at the Main Office/Cafeteria entrance by the flagpole. Incoming 6th Graders who need a temporary Chromebook will also receive one at this time. Parents may also drop off any textbooks or materials from last school year that need to be returned.

MTTN - Meet The Teacher Night

Both the 6th Grade MTTN AND the 7th/8th Grade MTTN will be held virtually on the same night, Thursday, September 10th from 7-9PM. More details to follow in the future so please save the date.

6th Grade Orientation

All 6th Grade students will participate in an orientation on the first day that they are physically in the building. At this time 6th Grade students will be returning on Tuesday, September 29th or Wednesday, September 30th depending on their hybrid group.

Activity Night

There will be a virtual Activity Night for middle school students on Friday, September 11th from 6-9PM. Students will participate in an online trivia game by grade level. 6th Grade will participate from 6-7PM. 7th Grade will participate from 7-8PM. 8th Grade will participate from 8-9PM. There will be prizes for each grade level at the end of every hour. This event is sponsored by our East Home & School Association. Specific details will be sent to each grade-level at a later date.
